• Director - Gwendolyn S. McEvilley, M.Ed., is the organization’s Director. Prior to her position at HSSBC, Ms. McEvilley served as the founding Principal of the first charter school in Far Rockaway, Peninsula Preparatory Academy. She is also the founder of SABLE, Inc., (Strengthen and Build Leadership through Education). She has twenty plus years of experience related to coordination and management of staff and various responsibilities within business environments. As Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Pride First Corporation, a non-profit education community based organization, she coordinated curriculum planning and development activities, professional development seminars and retreats, purchases materials and supplies, negotiates vendor contracts, and made presentations to garner support for the organization. Ms. McEvilley earned a Masters of Education from Cambridge College, and has a B.A. from Long Island University.
